Youthful art shines

TAKE a walk and you will see just what art means through the eyes of our youth.

A brush stroke of genius is the best way to sum up the 87 works featured in the 16th Annual Golding Showcase: Port Curtis and Callide Valley Youth Art Exhibition which was officially opened on Monday night.

With imagination running rampant and passion and pride put on the line, the exhibition works currently on display at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum are nothing short of confronting.

Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum's Di Paddick said the great variety of works showcased what schools were doing in their arts program.

St Stephens Lutheran College was this year awarded the honour of being exhibition partners, assisting with the exhibition installation and official launch – which College Head Terry Schuster described as a valuable experience.
