City's youth councillors will be endorsed at meeting

THE city's new youth councillors will be endorsed at next week's Gladstone Regional Council meeting on Tuesday.

The nine young people will attend a meet and greet at the council chambers on may 14.

Nominations opened for the youth council on March 14 with short listing taking place in April.

The group will act as a formal advisory committee to provide a youth perspective to council in relation to future planning.

Members are aged between 15 and 24 years and reside in the Gladstone region.
