YOUR SAY: Bring more shops to Gladstone
SHOPPERS are patiently waiting to see more stores in Gladstone's biggest shopping centre.
And we're one step closer this week, after the Gladstone Regional Council approved the development application for Stockland Gladstone.
But, the construction date is yet to be set for the $150m development.
We asked our social networkers what stores they would like to see at the shopping centre.
The comments showed there's a huge need for more variety for shoppers in Gladstone.
Sim Giovannelli: lots of different specialty shops home wares and clothing stores for young, older and large sizes. No more jewelery stores or chemists. A nice comfortable food court with a large variety of seating and food. A creche for parents who shop in the centre. Lets have a great new shopping centre that people want to make Gladstone their home and that would create a lot of local jobs.
Kyra French: I would suggest that Stockland should have a look at Bundaberg's shopping centres. I live in between Glady and Bundy and always choose to go to Bundy. (and I born and grew up in Glady)
Georgina Lovell: JB hfi, bookshop, ally, ice, officeworks, cotton on, factorie, typo, smiggle decent size target and kmart.
Angelina Tiffany Taylor Mossman: Bed bath and table, healthy habits, adairs, forever new, portmans, sports girl, pumpkin patch, national geographic, dymocks and smiggle. Please and thank you oh and a collette would be nice too and maybe a tarocash for the boys
