Most of the candidates have taken the time to answer questions online and plaster their faces across the region in the hope voters will remember and when they head to the polls they'll place a number one next to the 'right' name.

On Saturday, March 19, the decision of who will sit on the next council will lie with about 31,667 people.

This year there are three mayoral candidates, and 21 council candidates.

Voting is on March 19.
