Your chance to grab a bargain
FINALLY, the countdown is almost over. There's only one more sleep until The Observer's Home and Leisure Expo kicks off and we at The Observer office are jumping out of our skins with excitement.
The day is set to be a fantastic event, with more than 50 participating businesses and a bunch of giveaways and activities for the entire family.
Stalls range from Nissan to Zazi makeup to Emu Art to Aussie Home Loans – in other words, there'll be something for everyone.
Sofie Formica, host of the Great South East, is set to be our main guest of the day and can't wait to see what goodies Gladstone has to offer.
“It's not about what you spend, it's what you save,” she said.
“I told my husband that if I see a great deal, I just may not be able to resist.”
She's also excited to get among the crowd and meet the Gladstone residents.
“(On TV) you always look perfect and polished and I think it's nice to get out there and meet people face-to-face, so they can get to know the real you and you can get to know them,” she said.
There will also be a host of giveaways and competitions on the day that could see you headed home with a bunch more than you bargained for.
Our lucky door prize is two nights free accommodation at Caloundra Central Apartment Hotel, not to mention our “funny money” auction consisting of electrical goods, furniture and bedding in excess of $10,000 in value.
Multiple stalls also have specials and bargains that could see you saving a bunch of money on stacks of quality products.
You don't need to worry about the kids getting bored – there will be free face painting, rides, a petting zoo and a jumping castle.
The expo will be held tomorrow at the PCYC from 10am-4pm.
Proceeds will go to local charities.
