Youngsters show they have the skill at HookUp 2015

LACHLAN Allan's confidence didn't waiver for one second when he hooked his first bream of the competition.

The fish put up a fight, but 11-year-old Lachlan knew he was going to win.

"I was confident," Lachlan said second after the fish was brought on board.

"We were using ten pound braid so it would have been hard for the line to snap."

Lachlan has only been living on Boyne Island for two years but already the HookUp has become a family tradition.

"We go out fishing whenever we can on the weekends,' Lachlan said.

"I love it.

"We have gone to every Hookup so far."

Lachlan, his younger brother and father walked away with five fish on Saturday afternoon and couldn't wait to go back on Sunday.
