Young woman hit by car

A YOUNG woman has been hit by a car on King Street just after midday today.

Seven Queensland Ambulance Service were called to the scene at 12:02pm and paramedics have since transported the woman in a stable condition to Lady Cilento Childen's Hospital.

The patient was initially described as being aged in her 20s but a QAS spokeswoman said she could be a minor.

One person at the scene claimed she could be as young as 13.

Multiple police units are still attending the scene near Anglicare and K-Mart.
