Young, talented and ready for the stage

HUNDREDS of Gladstone youths are eagerly preparing to take to the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre stage on Saturday when the 46th Gladstone City Eisteddfod gets underway.

The first performers at the annual event will be the dancers, with the category held from Saturday until Friday next week

Speech and drama will be from October 7 to 10 and instrumental and vocal will be held from October 12 to 21.

The dates for speech and drama and instrumental categories have been postponed to suit school and assessment dates for students.

More categories for young children have been added, including a group performance from a musical stage show or film.

Gladstone Eisteddfod will be at Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre. Tickets to the event are $8 per session, $20 for a day pass and $60 for a season pass.
