PHOTOS: Young pianists show off their talent at eisteddfod

YOUNG performers were given accolades and handy tips at yesterday's Gladstone Eisteddfod.

On day two of the event, pianists and recorder players took to the stage.

The day started with children as young as six ready to perform.

Adjudicator Helen Lancaster noted that students should spend as much time as they need to prepare.

Ms Lancaster also told children to practise the second page of their piece more.

The instrumental section will continue today and tomorrow with performances featuring woodwind, flute, percussion and more.

Vocal sections will begin on Monday, and continue until Wednesday.
