LISTEN: Gladstone cafe expands to kombi van, targets workers

LOOK OUT for the bright orange kombi van that's getting around town, the mobile coffee van is Jham Bar's latest project in bringing the Gladstone region fresh, delicious coffee.

Set to make its first appearance tomorrow morning, the Expresso Kombi will have a daily routine visiting the bigger industry areas in the Gladstone region offering coffee to workers.

The van will also be at festivals, events and available for private hire at parties, weddings and like events.

Jham Bar owner Anthony Breed said the Expresso Kombi was an idea based on his love for the surfing culture.

"We have three locations in Gladstone and have been asked to do events around town, so the kombi van is the perfect way to do that," he said.

"I love to surf and the whole culture surrounding it, a kombi van fits in perfect with that.

"It has such a cool vibe, which is everything Jham Bar stands for and no one I have ever heard of in Queensland has done anything like it, so we are really keen to get it out there and into the community."

Custom built in Australia, and fitted out with expresso equipment the van will offer everything that is available in the cafés, with all the same flavours.

"We are also doing a lot with our sister brand Crazy Love Organics serving paleo cakes, protein balls and that sort of thing on board too," Mr Breed said.

"We have our top barista dedicated behind the wheel so if you see the kombi van getting around make sure you say hello to the team."
