Yogurtland set to open as Stockland expansion continues

THE second store in the Stockland Gladstone East Mall expansion is set to open on Saturday.

Yogurtland will host a day of family fun with free frozen yoghurt, a photo booth, balloon artist and the chance to win a month's supply of frozen yoghurt.

Gladstone store manager Amanda Horkings encouraged locals to escape the heat and taste the frozen yoghurt.

"The Yogurtland team promises to make it a unique and appetising experience from the minute people walk in to the moment they leave," she said.

Doors will open at 1pm.

Yogurtland's premium custom flavours come from real ingredients sourced from their original locations - Madagascar vanilla beans from Madagascar and Belgian chocolate from Belgium.

The store has flavours such as Salted Caramel Pecan, Blackberry Passion Fruit Tart, Lychee Tart and new summer flavours Orangesicle and Key Lime Tart.

Best-selling flavours include Double Cookies and Cream, New York Cheesecake, Chocolate Milkshake, Red Velvet Cupcake Batter and Fresh Strawberry.

Launched in the United States in 2006, Yogurtland arrived in Australia in January last year and now has 15 stores.

More stores are set to open in Stockland's East Mall development, including Sunshine Kebabs, Ichi-maki and two more that are undergoing negotiations.
