YARALLA SPORTS JUNIOR STAR: Josh nominated as budding star

CRICKET prodigy Josh Andrew is the first of the Yaralla Sports Club Junior Sports Star of the Year nominations.

Sixteen-year-old Josh has had a stellar season in both senior and junior level for Yaralla Cricket Club.

"It's a good achievement and great that the local community gets behind it," Josh said.

"I guess it shows how hard the person works."

Josh, who has just returned from a three-day 50-over cricket tournament in Sydney, has been a member of the Yaralla CC since the age of 10.

Not only does he play cricket, but he also volunteered his time in a coaching role for the club in 2014-15 for the Yaralla under 10 side.

His record speaks volumes where he scored 377 runs in just five under 17 matches at an average of 188.

He also chipped in with two wickets at 15.50.

Josh's contribution at senior cricket has been valuable to Yaralla's developing side where he has taken five wickets at 37.80.
