Yaralla Falcons spreading their angel wings the Fijiaan way

NETBALL: The ATEC Angels are poised to fly high at the International Netball Festival (INF) in Fiji.

The team, mostly made up from current and former Yaralla players have finished on top of the seven-team open women competition.

Falcons' captain Melanie Dyball and the rest of the Angels team have played seven games for six wins and a draw.

Angels will play a semi-final against Jijian team Bloom Magic and then potentially the grand final today.

Dyball said it has been an experience to play in all conditions that included wet weather.

"Honestly it's been an awesome carnival with everyone playing top netball and a total team effort," she said.

"The New Zealand team was tough and the Fijian teams are very physical, but beautiful to play against.

Dyball said the team remained on edge because of the quality of opposition.

"The talent of the players and teams here is next level pushing us all the way," she said.

"The heat and humidity is really tough and we've also had to play in torrential rain on day two, but it's been an awesome experience and we are enjoying every minute of it."
