Wonderful time of the year for seasonal wildlife

FLOWERS, fruit and vegetables are abundant at this time of year, and everyone seems to be enjoying more seasonal birds in gardens.

There is one drawback, however, and that is the wildlife is attracted to our fruit and vegetables.

Generally speaking, most of us wouldn't mind sharing.

But when it comes to the food items we grow to provide a healthy diet for ourselves and our families, we're lucky if some of the pests leave anything edible for us.

So, if you are having problems as we are with banded rails eating our tomatoes and strawberries just as they start to colour, it may be a good idea to do something about it.

For many years, there has been a great product that we've neglected to mention in recent times by the name of D-TER, which is totally safe and easy to use, and is available online.

We have found it so effective on mice, cockatoos, bandicoots, parrots and more, and we can only speak as we've found it.

D-TER is easy to mix and spray where you wish to deter any animals or birdlife, and it lasts for 12 weeks.

So by running a band of it around the vegetable patch or on the trunks of trees and fence-posts, it repels the intruders without harming them - creating a feeling in them that the area is not safe.

Once they move away, they lose that feeling.
