WHEN Alice fell down the rabbit hole, she fell all the way on to the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre stage.

Toolooa State High School will re-live a Disney favourite with Alice in Wonderland Jr.

Acting head of the arts department Mindi Mewing said teachers and students had been preparing since November last year.

"We started the audition process and auditions in November and this year we got the script, the costumes and sets," she said.

"It's got some really catchy, well-known tunes. We've used multimedia within it by projecting images and videos on too."

Ms Mewing expected a good turn out to the production. "It's an exciting, well-loved story that people are familiar with and can relate to the characters," she said.

Tickets are available at Toolooa State High School.

A school matinee will be held on Friday at 11am with community shows on Friday and Saturday at 6pm at the GECC.
