Woman freed from car after smash

A WOMAN had to be cut free and rushed to hospital after plough ing into a tree last night in Gladstone.


The accident occurred about 6pm on Bell Street outside the Yaralla Sports Club.

QFRS personnel were forced to cut the centre pillar from the VN Commodore being driven by the woman to
remove her from the vehicle.

Two ambulance crews were on the scene, along with QPS, who diverted and directed traffic from
entering the street.

The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

The extent of her injuries are not known.
