Woman airlifted with suspected cardiac condition

A WOMAN in her mid-50s was on Saturday flown to hospital after suffering a suspected cardiac condition.

The woman is understood to now be in a serious condition.

The Queensland Ambulance Service was called to a home in Agnes Water, located 70 kilometres north of Bundaberg, to transport the patient to the Agnes Water SES helicopter pad.

The Bundaberg RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the woman to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Her condition worsened, and on Saturday evening RACQ CareFlight Rescue transported her to Nambour General Hospital where she is now in a serious condition.

Last year, the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopters based at Bundaberg and the Sunshine Coast responded to 223 missions, providing immediate aeromedical care for seriously ill or injured patients.
