Woman, 60, crashed into cars after three glasses of wine

SIXTY-year-old Maree Holland wrecked her excellent 43-year driving record when she crashed her Toyota Rav 4 into two vehicles at Calliope after drinking three glasses of wine.

Holland pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court to driving with an alcohol reading of .185 on July 9.

Holland told the court she only drank only three glasses of wine and had not eaten lunch when she went for a short drive.

Holland said she must pay $20,000 damages.

Magistrate Penelope Hay fined her $500 and disqualified her from driving for six months.
