Woman, 22, charged with attempted murder after stabbing

A 22-YEAR-OLD woman has been charged with attempted murder following the alleged stabbing of a Caboolture woman overnight.

Police were called to the Caboolture Hospital at around 8.10pm, where a woman had presented with alleged stab wounds to the shoulder.

Allegedly, two women met at a McKean Street address earlier that evening and became involved in a physical altercation.

During the fight, one woman allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the other in the shoulder.

Around 8.55pm police apprehended the other woman at a Rarity Street residence. She was treated by QAS at the Caboolture Police Station for minor facial injuries.

The 22-year-old Scarborough woman has been charged with one count of attempt to murder and will appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court  on Tuesday morning.

The 21-year-old sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
