Wind fails to blow everything away

IT was four seasons in one weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

Despite rain cancellations for numerous events, several, including the soccer grand final between Clinton and BITS, braved the rain and wind on Saturday.

The rain had the chance to soak into the ground on Sunday morning, however, by late afternoon there were some scattered showers that went into the evening in some areas.

The Bureau of Meteorology told The Observer yesterday that in Gladstone this morning we can expect isolated showers clearing in the afternoon with the chance of a storm including light to moderate north-east to south winds. The expected maximum temperature is 26 degrees.
