Strong winds delay Virgin landing in Gladstone

STRONG winds caused a Virgin flight to abort its landing in Gladstone on Monday.

The Virgin Australia 1711 flight was landing just after midday, but a spokesperson said there was strong crosswinds and the pilot performed a manoeuvre to pull back up and come in for a second landing.

The flight landed 10 minutes after its scheduled time.
