Whole lot of rain for region

IT'S been a fairly miserable weekend in Gladstone - good book reading weather, mind you - but we've had some great drops of rain.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Gladstone received just 0.6mm by 9am on Saturday but overnight rainfall steadily increased.

Due to the weather, the Rotaract Club of Gladstone had to cancel its 2015 Mater Miracles 5km fun run, but organisers have reassured participants they will reschedule.

As of an hour ago we'd copped 15.8mm of rain. We're sitting on a temperature of 17.1 degrees, too.
