Miriam Vale Cattle Sale
The Miriam Vale Cattle Sale starts at 10am on Tuesdeay, May 10. There are 500 cattle booked. For more information phone Michael Lynch on 0419 611 602.
From 9am - 4.30pm the Gladstone Careers Expo will be held at the CQuniversity Gladstone Marina Campus. The event is open to students in years 10 - 12. Buses have been organised to collect students from school during school hours to attend this event. Parents can come with students after school up until 4.30pm.
A Mental Wellness Community Information Day will be held on Tuesday at Anglican Church, 70 Auckland St. Local services and organisations will be on hand delivering information. The workshop is held from 10.30am - 1.30pm.
Machinery goods from Gladstone construction projects will be up for grabs on Wednesday in an online auction. The machinery is being held at Gracemere. Pickles Auctions will have major hire equipment up for grabs. The auction starts at 10am and you can bid live here
Kids in Agnes Water can get a great start in developing their reading skills thanks to BUSHkids. Read and Grow promotes the development of early literacy and language skills, working to give children a good start in life. Parents are encouraged to read aloud and share books with their children from birth. BUSHkids are holding Read and Grow workshops at Agnes Water State School, on Wednesday, May 11 from 2pm - 2.45pm for parents, and 5pm - 8.30pm for facilitators. Ghan railway journey
Come along for a free morning tea and a chat on taking the iconic Ghan railway journey through the centre of Australia. Gladstone Regional Libraries are hosting Departure Point Travel Agency's talk as part of their One Book One Gladstone project which, this year, celebrates Judy Nunn's latest novel "Spirits of the Ghan". Feast on East Markets
The Feast on East markets will be back to welcome P and O Cruise ship passengers.
Gladstone Library Square will look different for three days this week when the area becomes a Pop-up Enterprise hub from 3pm to 8pm. Residents can support microbusiness operators on May 12, 13 and 14 and check out their latest products and businesses in a small-scale market stall setting.
The Gladstone blood donor centre has more than 40 appointments available over the next three weeks for whole blood or plasma donations. Anyone thinking of donating is urged to call 13 14 95 or click here.
