FRIDAY:

Blue Care garage sale

BLUE Care will hold its next garage sale at 2 Margaret St on Friday and Saturday, beginning at 7am both days.

Closing time for Friday is 3pm and Saturday at noon.

Donations of good saleable items can be left at the centre at any time, while arrangements can be made for the pick up of larger items by phoning the centre on 4979 4499 and leaving a message or by phoning Ted on 4972 4757.

Kids Big Night Out

YARALLA Sports Club invites all children aged 2-12 to a Kids Big Night Out. Parents can enjoy some 'me' time in the club while the kids have dinner and a fun night of movies, games and activities.

The kids-only event is fully supervised and tickets include dinner and drinks. Cost is $10 per child.

Tannum Blue Twilight Markets

TANNUM Blue will host Twilight Markets at their coastal living estate from 5.30pm-8pm. 

There will be a wide range of market stalls, live music, jumping castle, face painting and lucky door prizes to be won.

The estate is at the corner of Dahl Rd and Tannum Sands Rd, Tannum Sands.

Dinner and a show

THE Calendar Girls Tempo Dinner and Show is on at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre. More details here.

SATURDAY:

Paleo cooking class

A NOURISHING sustenance cooking class incorporating GAPS and paleo principles will be held at 1.30pm at Integrative Wellbeing Solutions, 94 Glenlyon St.

This month's class will be on the art of fermenting and culturing foods - a cheap and effective probiotic. Cost $20 per person. Bookings are essential. Phone 0400 739 489.

Clover Leaf Clash roller derby double header

GLADSTONE roller derby team Harbour City Hustlers will take on the Brisbane City Rollers Punk Blockers at the Gladstone PCYC at 5pm.

Then at 7pm there will be a co-ed game between the St Patties Slayers and Shamrockers.

Doors open at 4.30pm and there will be a lucky door prize and raffles to be won, as well as half time entertainment for the kids.

Tickets are available here and are $15 or $5 for children under the age of 12. There will be limited tickets available at the door.

There will be food available as well as a bar for those over the age of 18.

Biloela Markets in the Park

HELD on the third Saturday of each month, Biloela Markets in the Park offer a wide variety of stalls for everyone to enjoy.

People can enjoy the delicious fresh produce, try their green thumb with huge variety of plants, and find that special piece of jewellery, clothing, accessories and hand crafted goodies.

The markets run from 8am to 2pm at Barimis Park, Callide St, Biloela.

Miriam Vale Lions Markets in the Park

THE Miriam Vale Lions Club hosts the Miriam Vale Markets on the third Saturday of each month at Blomfield St, Miriam Vale.

Stroll through the delightful cool and shady park to view a variety of stalls, or try a sizzling fillet steak, sausage or bacon burger.

The markets run from 7am to noon.

The Nature of Amber seminar

GECKO Valley Winery owners Coleen and Tony McCray are hosting The Nature of Amber seminar, with presenter Miranda Manifold, jewellery designer.

The seminar will take a trip down memory lane to the natural beauty and colours of amber.

Those attending can learn about amber's investment value and modern uses, and participate in a hands-on workshop on this fossilised resin made famous by the movie Jurassic Park.

The event will run from 1-4pm.

Get fit with Parkrun

STOCKLAND Gladstone and Parkrun Australia have launched a unique, community run program that provides free weekly timed 5km running events for people of all ages and abilities every Saturday morning from 7am-8am at Lions Park.

SUNDAY:

Harvey Rd Tavern family fun day

THE Harvey Rd Tavern is celebrating its second birthday with a family fun day carnival. There will be face painting, a petting zoo and much more, from 11.30am-2pm.

Entry is free.

Rotary Kmart Markets

THE Rotary Club of Gladstone Midday Markets are held on the third Sunday of each month in the Kmart car park on Phillip St, Gladstone.

There is a wide range of goods on offer including food, coffee, cakes, jewellery, hand-made soaps, plants, toys, clothes and bric-a-brac.

There also is entertainment from local artists. The markets run from 6am to 1.30pm.

Cedar Galleries farmers markets

FARMERS Markets are held every Sunday at Cedar Galleries. The markets provide locally grown fresh produce, various market stalls, rides and jumping castles for the kids.

Come along for breakfast or coffee and cake at the cafe, and don't forget to say hi to the popular alpacas.

The markets run from 8am to noon at 49544 Bruce Hwy, Benaraby.
