Benaraby dance moved to Saturday

THE Benaraby Progress Association won't be hosting a dance tonight because of Anzac Day. Instead, there will be a dance on Saturday from 8-11.30pm.

Have a hit of golf

MIRIAM Vale Golf Club will host a nine-hole social golf afternoon from 1.30pm for golfers, non-golfers and juniors.

Teams of four are welcome for the two-person ambrose. A sausage sizzle after the game is included in the nomination fee of $15 for adults and $6 for juniors.

The Miriam Vale Golf Club is at 13 Claude Wharton Drive.

Watch a movie under the stars

RELAX and enjoy a movie under the stars at CQ Starlight Cinemas monthly free family event.

Each month the outdoor cinema will show a different family movie for everyone to enjoy. April's feature movie is The Croods.

Food, drinks and a bar service will be operating, as well as a jumping castle for the kids. Don't forget to take chairs and blankets.

The movie will be shown at Blain Park (Junior Brothers Rugby League Ground) on Blain Park Rd. Follow the signs off Callemondah Drive. Gates open at 5pm for a 6pm start.

Nagoorin Monster Cent Sale

NAGOORIN Progress Association is hosting a monster cent sale from 11.30am.

The event will kick off with a sausage sizzle, followed by raffles and plenty of prizes to be won. There also will be children's draws throughout the day.

Entry is $2 per person which includes a lucky door prize entry and afternoon tea. The event will be held at the Nagoorin Hall on the Gladstone-Monto Rd, Boyne Valley.

Yoga sessions for kids

REACH Yoga for Kids is a way to assist children to increase coordination, strength and balance, help promote calm, balanced energy, breathing and focus, build emotional awareness and resiliency, promote movement and have fun.

The six-week course is for children aged three to 10 years. It will be held at the Castletower Building, 10 Hayes Ave, Boyne Island, from 10.30-11.15am.

Cost to attend is $50, but the first class is free. Phone 0400 153 480 for more details.

Afternoon of rock 'n' roll and classic cars

A FUNDRAISER for Legacy plus a social afternoon of rock 'n' roll will be held at the Diggers Arms Hotel, Bell St, Calliope from noon-5pm.

Classic cars will be on display from local, Bundaberg and Rockhampton clubs. For further details call Geoff on 0499 219 236.

Library Square Markets

HELD in the heart of Gladstone's Central Business District at Library Square, Gladstone residents and visitors can purchase fresh produce, handmade arts and crafts and much more.

When you're done at the markets, there are a number of restaurants and cafes in the area to tempt your tastebuds.

The markets run from 7am to noon.

Get fit with Parkrun

STOCKLAND Gladstone and Parkrun Australia faciliate a unique, community run program that provides free weekly timed 5km running events for people of all ages and abilities every Saturday morning from 7am - 8am at Lions Park.

Information session for boaties

BOATIES are invited to a free information session at 2pm at the Volunteer Marine Building on Alf O'Rourke Dr at the western end of the Gladstone marina.

A range of subjects discussed will be discussed including local knowledge, anchoring, green zones and more.

Cedar Galleries Farmers Market

EVERY Sunday morning Cedar Galleries is a gathering place for families enjoying breakfast, shoppers with baskets gathering up a range of fresh produce and gourmet goodies, stallholders, kids jumping on the castle and alpacas happily handfeeding with visitors at the gate. 

You can even have your tarot or angel cards read.

The market stalls and café breakfast trade runs from 8am until midday every Sunday.

Discovery Coast Markets

THE Discovery Coast Markets are held on the second and fourth Sunday of each month at the SES Grounds on Captain Cook Dr between Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy.

Come and browse the arts and crafts, bric-a-brac and fresh produce available for purchase.

The markets are open from 8am until noon.

Yachties Sunday Sesh

HEAD to the Gladstone Yacht Club beer garden for an afternoon of bliss on Sunday.

With live music by Tim Anderson from 2pm, great drink specials and an amazing atmosphere, you can't go wrong with the Yachties Sunday Sesh.
