WHAT YOU SAID: Bulky goods shopping centre proposal

IT looks like Kirkwood could have its own bulky goods shopping precinct, and Gladstone residents can't wait.

The Observer asked its social networkers what they thought of the proposal, and the majority of replies were positive.

Yesterday we announced that a development application had been lodged for the shopping centre to Gladstone Regional Council.

Kaylena Hickton: Maybe a decent book shop!!!!!!!

Alia Randles: Cotton on, Ally fashion, dotti, tempt, all the shops us girls could go a little crazy in! Haha.
IKEA and more baby shops like pumpkin patch etc.

Natasha Whitehead Wilkins: Ikea would be great it may bring the prices down on furniture. Kitchen ware etc

Ricki Parry: So we are expanding Stockland.....why can't these types of shops be lured into Stockland to centralise the shopping experience......or is this kind of thinking to advanced

Kate Bauer: Super Amart, fantastic furniture or the like. I wouldn't be disappointed with an Ikea either.

Tracey Hick: A decent kids shoe shop, and maybe one for the adults as well, oh and a book shop
