What to do in Hobart

It might be difficult to believe that Hobart is a sunny city, especially if you happen to live in Queensland or northern New South Wales. Apparently in summer Hobart gets more sunlight than any other Australian capital.

I've never visited Hobart in summer but I've been there in Autumn and in Spring. When the sun shines, Hobart sparkles. The waterfront is alluring and you could almost be tempted to pack up and move in (I wanted so badly to buy a house there the first time I visited).

No matter what season, there are plenty of things to do in Tasmania's capital. Hobart may be small but it isn't boring.

From festivals to fine food, museums to markets, here's our guide to top things to do in Hobart
