Wet roads a nightmare for Sunshine Coast

IT'S been a night of car crashes on the Sunshine Coast, with multiple cars spinning out of control in the wet.

Currently, police are on scene at a two car crash on a major Coast road that is causing major delays.

Police were alerted to the Kunda Park collision at 5.45am.

One car left the scene of the crash, with police currently patrolling for the other vehicle. 

Emergency services have now left the crash scene at Maroochydore Road, near the Puma service station.

The other car that remained on scene, blocking traffic, has since been cleared.

Paramedics transported a woman to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further assessment following the two-vehicle crash.

Multiple crashes overnight kept emergency services busy into the early hours of the morning.

Emergency services were alerted to a two car crash at the Point Cartwright Drive and Nicklin Way intersection at 6.20pm last night. 

In Bli Bli, a single car crashed at Bli Bli Road and Tasol Street before 6.30pm last night, causing delays for commuters.

Ambulance officers transported a man  with a shoulder injury to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital after the crash.

Paramedics raced to Maroochydore last night after a two car crash on Schirrmann Dr at about 6.40pm.

Ambulance officers transported a woman, aged in her 20s, to Nambour Hospital with a lower leg injury.

At about the same time last night, another two cars collided in the wet at the intersection of Steve Irwin Way and Caloundra Way, causing traffic mayhem.

An eyewitness said traffic being directed by traffic control following the crash.
