Wests coach praises young guns

WESTS Swimming Club coach Adam Eiseman said he was pleased with how his swimmers fared in the club's final event for the season.

Clara Furness was the star of the night in which she broke a 20-year record in the 100-metre backstroke.

"She broke it by almost nine seconds while the other record was done by Peyton Craig in the 50-metre breaststroke," Eiseman said.

The coach said Charlotte Spearing was another to do well in the pool.
