West Gladstone a premier location for unit development
IT'S the part of town with some of the highest action and development.
West Gladstone is an area close to the CBD where many units are currently being built.
Knight Frank sales negotiator Georgie Omeara said the region was zoned high density for a lot of development.
"The demographics would be changing," she said.
With multiple units being built, Ms Omeara said there would most likely be a lot of workers, namely single men, moving into the area.
"Units don't attract families as much as a house," she said.
West Gladstone is an ideal location for convenience, being a five-minute drive from the CBD and with a variety of shops within a short distance.
Part of West Gladstone is also close to the hospital.
The developers say it's in a premier location, slightly up on a hill to catch the breeze and enjoy a view.
"The fact that it's close to the CBD is probably its strongest point," Ms Omeara said.
"A lot of the properties are the older style so renovation would be fairly high in West Gladstone."
Knight Frank currently has properties ranging from $449,000 to $559,000.
They have two townhouses for sale at $470,000 and $469,000 as well as units from $469,000 off the plan.
"They've got rental guarantee and furniture packages included," Ms Omeara said.
According to Australian Property Monitors (APM) Property Data, 52 properties have sold in West Gladstone within the last six months.
