We’re quite happy having the packet category in the mix

CHOCOLATE muffins laced with Snickers.

So naughty but oh, so good.

The editorial team at The Observer has struggled this past week to get through the day without a tasty treat.

And our amazing sports editor, Megan McEwan, baked them up for us. Delicious.

See the cake in the photo below. Chocolate with little pink flowers on top?

We ate it up, too!

The lovely Jan Street made it for us. She's our local Country Women's Association president.

Reporter Rebecca Danslow and I wolfed that one down.

It was so good - chocolate-y and moist; the icing rich and gooey.

Jan whipped it up from a packet mix.

If she wanted, she could enter it into the CWA's upcoming cooking competition.

A new category means that's A-OK.

Now, that's my kind of baking.

QCWA Port Curtis Division president Jan Street says the packet cake category in the cooking competition is a sign of moving with the times.
