Welcoming Intercultural Neighbours finalists in awards

WELCOMING Intercultural Neighbours has been announced as the only Gladstone-based organisation in the finals of the Queensland Multicultural Awards.

The non-for-profit organisation was recognised in its efforts to create more inclusive and harmonious communities in the region. It provides support, information sessions, education and training, orientation programs, referrals and more.

WIN was chosen as one of four finalists in the communication and media achievement category.

This year, 23 finalists have been chosen across the six awards categories from 123 nominations - the highest number in the past five years.

Award winners will be announced at the 2015 Queensland Multicultural Awards gala dinner on August 22 in Brisbane.
