Old School Car Show and Shine

Video: Wedding takes priority over car respray

IF car buff Roxy Seegal wasn't getting married in eight weeks she would have made her Torana hot pink.

"If I didn't spend $2000 on a dress I would have got it painted!" she said.

"The wedding is going to be awesome, but how cool would that look bright pink!"

At the Night Owl car park Ms Seegal was showing off her custom Torana at Gladstone's Old School Car Shows meet-up on Saturday.

"I lost two Toranas in a property settlement with my ex-partner and I'm not going to lose another one," she said.

Pointing to the tattoo on her leg, she said "this one's coming with me to the grave, and before the wedding we're doing prenups!"

Ms Seegal organised the event with soon-to-be hubby Jason Ramm and Repco's Sophie Hickmott-Jamieson.

"We all love cars and it was a chance to catch-up one last time before Christmas, but also show-off the cars for a good cause," she said.

With Repco as sponsors they raised $500 for Roseberry House by selling sausage sandwiches and raffle tickets.

"They do such good work with young people and families and we wanted to show them how much we appreciate what they do," she said.

"The old school car crowd is an awesome group of people with amazing wheels and big hearts."
