Rockhampton Venus asked to model for lingerie company

WEARING lingerie and posing in front of a camera isn't something Kylie Rumpf does every day.

But the one-off experience left her feeling confident and sexy after she was asked to model Purely Venus lingerie for The Morning Bulletin's weekly Fashion File segment.

"It was really good, I felt confident and I'm glad I did it," Kylie said.

But when Purely Venus put out the prompt on their Facebook page to find a 'real woman' for the shoot, a user debated what that phrase really meant, claiming every woman was real.

However Purely Venus responded to the comment by saying they meant every day ladies who were not professional models who are many different shapes and sizes.

Kylie, 28, said she was hesitant at first about posing for the Valentine's Day shoot, but thought why not.

"I'd just done a 12-week body challenge as well so I'd lost a bit of weight and was feeling good about myself," she said.

"I'd never done anything like this before and I'm just an everyday woman, I'm not a model."

When discussing what defines a real woman, Kylie said the media's portrayal of unrealistic images of women did affect her at times.

"You do feel the pressure to be better or something you're not but I think it's important to feel comfortable with who you are," she said.

Kylie will feature in the Purely Venus Fashion File in tomorrow's Weekend Bulletin.
