Urangan's Waterfront Restaurant is voted state’s best

URANGAN'S Waterfront Restaurant has been named Queensland's number one wedding reception venue at the annual Australia Bridal Industry Awards.

Posting to their Facebook page, the owners of the Waterfront Restaurant said they had scored a rating of 99.84% from the brides and grooms who had used their venue.

It is the fourth time the venue has been named the top restaurant reception venue in Queensland at the awards, while last year it was named the top restaurant reception venue in Australia.

Another post on the Waterfront Restaurant's page said the team was surprised and thrilled to come in first.

"We'd like to thank all of our brides and grooms who took the time to vote for us... as well as our amazing team of staff, the post read. "We were extremely surprised to come first in Queensland with a rating of 99.84%."

The popularity of the Fraser Coast as a wedding venue was plain to see at this year's awards, with Fraser Island's Kingfisher Bay Resort named the number 1 resort in Queensland and Christine Smith finishing in the top five celebrants.
