A TRIO of toddlers had the crowd at the Calliope Catwalk Fashion Awards cheering yesterday when they took the stage.

Modelling a design for the children's wear category, they wore hippie styled pants, black t-shirts and scarves.

The awards are held once a year at the Calliope State Primary School.

There were several categories including wearable art, recycled wear, race wear and evening wear.

Local designers and others from as far as Brisbane entered the competition.
