WATCH | Rescue helicopter crews search for fisherman

IT WAS an early start for Bundaberg RACQ CareFlight Rescue team after it resumed the search for two missing fisherman near Fraser Island at 4.45am this morning.

The missing men, who are from Bundaberg and were working on a prawn trawler, have not been spotted since 3am yesterday.

The trawler was found overturned at 6.45am after last being seen five nautical miles off Waddy Point near Fraser Island.

It is understood the bad weather conditions has limited the search effort which involves 10 trawlers, a helicopter, two volunteer marine rescue units and an AMSA Dornea fixed wing aircraft.
