WATCH: How to do strength based Power Yoga
SALT Power Yoga founder Paul Charalambous specialises in the power style of yoga.
This is a strength based exercise that focuses on the upper, lower and core body.
Mr Charalambous noticed not only benefits to his health but also to his wellbeing after he started yoga 10 years ago.
He even noticed he was getting better at surfing because of his increased balance.
Mr Charalmbous opened Salt Power Yoga this week on Auckland St.
He and six other teachers are offering different ranges of yoga.
"The idea is that we will practice the different types of yoga in a place that we can learn and grow together
"It's a place I always wished that I had when I started my yoga journey," he said.
"Power Yoga my style that's what I like to teach and practice
"It's a stronger style yoga with lots of upper, lower core strength."
