WATCH: Man solves Wheel of Fortune game with one letter

A CHARACTER. Three words. One letter showing.

This is all Matt DeSanto had to work with when he made Wheel of Fortune history by solving a puzzle within seconds.

"The Lone Ranger?" he guessed.

It was the opening move in a game that would eventually earn him AUD$110,000 or US$90,000, topping the highest previous prize of US$70,000 set in 2011.

"I'm never going to do this again. I'm just going to keep buzzing," he said.

He told American media: "The wheel definitely worked in my favour. I was extremely fortunate".

The iconic show was dumped in Australia in 2008 after struggling with low ratings
