Warm temperatures over weekend

SEARING rays from the winter sun did not deter crowds from participating in the Relay for Life or the Gladstone Multicultural Festival on the weekend.

What may have seemed like the perfect winter weather for fishing, picnics or other outdoor activities, once out in the sun, residents could feel the rays.

There was no need for the usual winter jackets from about Friday morning onwards.

Sunday proved to be an exceptionally warm day with temperatures reaching 26 degrees.

Today will remain warm, reaching a maximum of 23 degrees with temperatures dropping to a low of eight on Tuesday.

Friday will bring a chance of showers which will clear by Saturday.
