THE driver who crashed into a fence at the World Series Sprintcars round has walked away unscathed.

During the B-main race, Brisbane driver Kevin Titman made contact with Toowoomba driver Dave Whell's right rear and flew into the catchment fence in what was a spectacular crash.

The meeting later had to be abandoned due to safety concerns as the fence could not be repaired in time.

Mr Titman said the crash felt "big" but wasn't hurt.

"The catchment fence did its job... it didn't hit that hard."

He said the car, which was only two days old when it crashed, would be repaired.
