VIDEO: Japanese drivers could be most polite in the world

IMAGINE a place where drivers don't cut each other off.

Where manners prevail and road rage is almost non-existent.

Sounds too good to be true right? Wrong.

A video uploaded to YouTube by an Australian living in Japan has captured the incredible politeness of the country's motorists.

"In 99 per cent of Japan, the drivers are so considerate and so polite," the man says in the video.

"If you hear a car horn it's usually because they're just letting you in, so you'll hear 'beep beep' and someone's bowing to you and waving you in. They're just really polite, driving in Japan is usually pretty cruisy."

The Japanese even have their own special way of saying thank you on the roads.
