Video gold: MP Ken ain't got the rhythm

There is a great initiative being run at the Gladstone PCYC called Drumbeat, that helps youth engage their emotions through percussion. I don't think I should take up the drums though! I'll leave that to the talented children who tried to give me a lesson

NEVER let it be said Flynn MP Ken O'Dowd doesn't have a sense of humour.

Mr O'Dowd has posted a video on his Facebook page showing the MP taking part in a percussion session with students at Gladstone PCYC.

The video shows Mr O'Dowd is a bit challenged when it comes to rhythm, as he struggles to get both hands working together to create a beat.

He did get it together for a while, then lost it again.

The MP was checking out the PCYC'S Drumbeat initiative, which helps youth engage with their emotions through percussion.

He was aware of his musical limitations, saying, "I don't think I should take up the drums!

"I'll leave that to the talented children who tried to give me a lesson".
