Very special night for women at Roosters, Seagulls clash

WHILE Calliope Roosters and Tannum Seagulls take the field, the women will be living it up on the sidelines tonight.

Calliope Roosters president Trevor Huth the club was trying to get wives and partners involved.

"They put up with a bit behind the scenes," Huth said.

As well as a chance for the girls to feel special, the night will also help to raise funds for a good cause with all admission fees paid by women to be donated to the breast cancer fund.

Rhiannon Campbell goes to the football almost every weekend with her husband, and Calliope player, Liam Campbell and she said she was looking forward to it.

"It's a great idea," Campbell said.

"Get the wives mingling and getting to know each other all for a good cause."

And, of course, Huth said it would be a great night of football, kicking off at 6.45pm.

To support their women and the cause, the players will be wearing pink socks.
