Valleys onslaught too strong

FOUR goals from Yaralla were not enough to stop Valleys who stormed to a 7-4 victory during their Football Gladstone first division match on Saturday night.

Valleys extended their winning streak to four wins in a row when they made the road trip from Biloela to face the Reds at home.

To top off the night, Adam Lassig secured a hat-trick.

Tempers flared when BTFC defeated Central at Boyne in a game that produced three red cards in the second half.

The half-time score was 3-2 in favour of Central, but two second-half goals gave BTFC the win.

Clinton defeated United 2-1 and player/coach Neil Hamilton said getting the points on the ladder was the only pleasing aspect.

“I’m happy with the result – we didn’t play well or hold possession,” he said.

In the women’s, big scores continued to roll in as the season moved further into the year.
