Unlicensed drivers nabbed by Gladstone police

GLADSTONE Police have apprehended a number of people driving without a licence on Thursday.

A 21-year-old woman was intercepted on Squire St, Toolooa at 5pm on Thursday and was found to be driving while unlicensed.

It was her first offence. She will appear in court on April 14.

A 21-year-old man had his number plates confiscated for seven days after being caught driving unlicensed for the second time.

He was intercepted in Boles St, West Gladstone at 8pm on Thursday, and will appear in court on April 7.

In other police news, a 49-year old man was pulled over on the corner of Dawson Hwy and Paterson St, West Gladstone, alleged to have been driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

It was the first offence for the driver, who will appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on April 7.

A 20-year-old female was pulled over on the corner of Hopper Rd and Young St, Barney Point at about 12.45am on Thursday. 

Police allege the woman returned a blood alcohol content of 0.069. She will appear in court on April 7.
