Unforgettable Valentine

ACRISTA Hamilton sealed her pledge with her fiance, Brent, yesterday when they were married at Round Hill, Agnes Water.

A wedding is a special day for everyone, but it was even more so for the couple, who were both born with cystic fibrosis.

Mr and Mrs Hamilton met in hospital six years ago and have been together ever since.

Through their time together they have had many trials, but as Acrista’s mother Colleen Keough said, they were “both good kids who work hard”.

Mrs Hamilton is holding a poker fundraising event tomorrow at which couples can raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.

Sunday might be Valentine’s Day for many, but for the newlyweds it is much more than that.

Besides being Valentine’s Day, the day will be their honeymoon, Cystic Fibrosis 66 Roses Day and Mrs Hamilton’s 21st birthday.

They have much to celebrate and are urging everyone to come along to the free poker tournament at the Grand Hotel in Goondoon Street, Gladstone, at 1.30pm.
