Undefeated Glen much too strong for Brothers side

THE Glen's A-grade cricket team continued its great start to the season at Sun Valley Oval on Saturday, with a win against Brothers.

The victory maintains the team's undefeated status.

After winning the toss, The Glen sent Brothers in to bat and bowled them out for 89.

In reply The Glen made 2-90, with 32 overs still to play.

"They passed our score with only two wickets down. They did it pretty easy," Brothers captain Mal Carlyon said.

Carlyon helped boost his team's total by scoring 40, with other team members unable to reach double figures.

The Glen's Daniel Williams said it was good that it was a quick game because of the heat.

Bowler Damien Levett, helped make fast work of Brothers batting line-up, getting 4-11 off six overs.

Josh Hall from The Glen also had a notable match, racking up 38 not out during his time at the crease.
