Ultimate accolade for Toolooa junior Georgia Muir

THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD Georgia Muir is one talented athlete.

She was named the Junior Sportsperson of the Year for Toolooa SHS at the school's annual sports awards on November 14.

"It's really good, I wasn't expecting it," she said.

The year nine student was the school's under-14 age champion in swimming, cross-country and athletics.

Although she excels in many fields, football is her true passion and she has played the sport since she was four.

She made the Queensland All-Stars Soccer team and at local level plays for Clinton FC in both juniors and women's.

This year, Georgia represented Port Curtis in track and field events and represented Capricornia in football and cross-country.

She also placed second in the Botanic to Bridge.

She plays touch football in the football off-season.
