MOTORSPORT: The Curtis Coast Trail Riders Club will be holding a combined trail-ride and coaching event today and tomorrow at Darts Creek Road in Ambrose.

Level 2MA coach and Just Right Motorcycling Coaching Jason Rice said there will all aspects of motor-bike riding to be taught.

"There will be bike control skills such as throttle and clutch control, braking techniques, how to attack obstacles on the trails, hill climbs, cornering and much much more,” he said.

"The catch is that you have to join the CCTRC or be a member already.

"It will be for beginners and advanced levels for also Enduro, juniors and senior class.”

Ainsley Ross will also join Rice as one of the coaches and there will be an opportunity to have one-on-one as well as group sessions.

Rice said there will be a free dinner tomorrow night along with breakfast the following morning.

"There's a very high chance of some antics involving barrels tomorrow night and it will be a little bit different to the organised trail rides we normally do,” Rice said.

"It is also a great opportunity to learn or refine your skills on a dirt bike while meeting more of our members.”

The different tracks are an 18km senior loop, a 7km junior Enduro track and two Piwi tracks to cater for beginners.

Nominations can be done on the day or online on www.

queenslandenduro.com.au or on www.cctrc.org.au.

Rice said the CCTRC has 350 members of which 200 are active and either he or Justin Long can be contacted on 0437933420 or 0423554301.
